Joinville Flower Festival

The Joinville Flower Festival is a traditional event, which is part of the annual calendar of the city of Joinville and the State of Santa Catarina.

TRADIÇÃO

A tradição iniciou em 1936, com a Exposição de Flores e Artes Domiciliar (EFA), criada por apaixonados pelas orquídeas nativas – muitos deles imigrantes europeus que se instalaram na região.

The objective was to promote the cultivation and enchantment of flowers. Over the years, the exhibition grew, won over the public and became the Festa das Flores de Joinville

The Flower Festival is recognized as a Historical, Artistic and Cultural Heritage of the State of Santa Catarina, through State Law number 14,697, of May 21, 2009, and is the Official Festival of the Municipality of Joinville, established by Municipal Law 6,728, of July 19, 2010.

CELEBRATION

Além da exposição, a Festa das Flores traz em sua programação:

concurso de orquídeas, mercado de plantas, feira multissetorial, oficinas de cultivo, concurso de jardins; atrações de entretenimento, como os concursos da rainha da Melhor Idade, palco cultural e praça gastronômica, dentre muitas outras atividades.
