O artista Juarez Machado nasceu em Joinville em 1941. Estudou em Curitiba, e em 1965 se mudou para o Rio de Janeiro, diversificando as atividades artísticas e participando ativamente dos primeiros movimentos culturais do país. Nos anos 80 foi morar em Paris, onde está o seu principal atelier. The space has 10 rooms entirely focused on elements linked to dance, such as classic costumes from renowned performances, representations of dance scenarios and their evolution, dance and technology, as well as a room in honor of the Joinville Dance Festival, the largest in the world. The Dance Museum's collection has pieces from different regions of Brazil and abroad, and included donations from renowned artists and institutions such as Cia de Dança Deborah Colker, Bolshoi Theater School in Brazil and the dancer Cecília Kerche, who sent costumes, records and other elements that make up the site’s exhibitions.

The Estrada da Serra de Dona Francisca is one of the icons of the Caminho dos Príncipes Region, as it connects Joinville to São Bento do Sul and Mafra. Its scenic beauty has stretches of Atlantic Forest, winding curves and bucolic settings.

Reconhecida pela sua tradição e trajetória de fé, a Igreja Matriz Nossa Senhora da Graça é um dos cartões postais e patrimônio histórico de São Francisco do Sul.
